Katherine Anita Beliveau

YORK HARBOR - Katherine Anita "Nita" (Beaudry) Beliveau, 95, died Friday, April 28, 2006, in Sentry Hill.

She was born August 11, 1910, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Gustave and Emma (Prevost) Beaudry. Her husband Lawrence A. Beaudry Sr. predeceased her.

She worked in the accounting department at Norton Company in Worcester, Mass., for many years before retiring. Along with her husband she spent many summers in York before moving here in 1978.

Nita was a selfless, loving individual and an integral part of four generations of families.

She was very close to her older siblings and an inspiration to her nieces and nephews and their children and also to her husband's son and his children.

She was a strong woman who gave of herself by choice and was active in the community. She was a member of the First Parish Congregational Church and Meals on Wheels. She was an avid bird-watcher and loved the ocean.

She leaves a brother, Tony Beaudry of Worcester; a stepson, Lawrence A. Beliveau Jr. of Worcester; two step-grandsons, Charles Beliveau and Lawrence A. Beliveau III, both of Worcester, and two nieces, Marie Clifford and Judith H. Anderson.

A memorial service for Mrs. Beliveau was held on Saturday, May 6, in the First Parish Congregational Church, 180 York Street, York.
