"If you want to have a great evening of festivities and super sounds, the only place to be on the evening of May 20 at 7:30 pm is the Great Hall of the Dunaway Center, School Street, Ogunquit," said OPA Chairman Stuart Nudelman.
During the competition, the Great Hall of the Dunaway Center explodes with the rhythm and melodies of country music that make it difficult for the audience to keep feet in place. Then, during the breaks between groups of competitors, the audience will be entertained by the fluid smooth sounds and wicked humor of Freewheelin' led by John Roc.
The Ogunquit International Fiddlers Contest will be introducing an extra-fun activity this year: a raffle for an assortment of baskets filled with all sorts of great items. Raffle tickets will be $1 each or 10 for $5.
Tickets for the contest are $15 at the door and $13 advance and may be purchased at the Dunaway Center, Ogunquit Camera Shop and Ogunquit Welcome Center. Tickets may also be reserved by calling 646-6170.
Animal Instinct, Mike's Clam Shack, Swamp John's and Ogunquit Insurance have sponsored the event and prizes.
"We thank them all for helping to make this event a success," Nudelman said.
