Catch Survivor fever with Great York Region Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament on Thursday
YORK - During the seventh annual Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, players will not only have a chance to be on a winning team but they could also be on a winning tribe.This year's event features Survivor Golf and there are multiple ways to win during this fun and exciting tournament.
Pelkey Funeral Home is proud to be the presenting sponsor and on Thursday, May 25, they'll be there to welcome players to the Ledges Golf Course. Each player will receive a players gift bag that includes all of the items needed to make it through the jungle of a course.
Throughout the whole tournament players will be challenged to out wit, out play and out last the other players which will include a $10,000 Hole-In-One and a chance to win a Boston Whaler. There is still room for a few more teams to join in so don't miss out on the fun!

"Their generosity, and that of our sponsors, makes it possible for the chamber to advance its mission within the community, and we thank each and every one of them."
The Greater York Region golf tournament is known for its unique drive-through hospitality tent, sponsored by Tapley Insurance. This year's theme will come alive as players enter the "Tribal Tent" and participate in a round of Scratch Golf.
"The players really love the chamber's hospitality tent," said Chamber Vice President of Operations Carrie Eisner. "Wendy Tapley makes it fun for everyone - it's a great stop along the course for a well deserved break and some friendly banter!"
After surviving a round on the course, all players and guests will enjoy a barbecue feast provided by Muddy River Marketplace.
The chamber relies on sponsors to help finance the tournament. Sponsor of the golf carts is York Hospital. The putting green sponsor is Kennebunk Savings Bank. Clubhouse banner sponsors are DF Richard Energy and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Lontine Insurance sponsored the $10,000 Hole-in-One, and York Harbor Marine Service sponsored the Boston Whaler that players will be eligible to win.
