Orioles 3-1 over Pirates

In a well pitched game, the Orioles edged the Pirates 3 to 1 on May 20th. After the 2 week layoff due to rain, each team used 3 pitchers. Josh Karpowicz, Connor Smith and Alec Steffenberg pitched well for the Pirates and Justin Frecker, Adam Legg and Joe Yauch pitched well for the Orioles. Offensively, Eric Morrison had 2 hits and caught a solid game behind the plate for the Orioles. Connor Smith, Jacob Sisk and Alec Steffenberg had hits for the Pirates. Justin Frecker, Tom Canino and Adam Legg also had hits for the Orioles.

Reds dump Rockies

The Reds beat the Rockies 15-1 on Saturday. Jimmy Orso led the way for the Reds with strong pitching and three hits. Conall Anderson was on base four times for the Reds. Liam Boner and Dakota Pidgeon also reached base safely three times each. The entire Reds team made several great plays in the field. The Rockies had a well pitched game from Eric Offerman while Graham Guthrie reached safely three times. Cole Merritt chipped in with a single and played strong defense at first base for the Rockies.

Tigers take two over Royals

The Tigers scored early and often with 2 RBI's each by Tyler Barrows, Daniel Bock, Mike Kahn and Dante Nieves. Jack Neary added more run support (RBI), as Bock and Zane Insko combined for 14 strikeouts and the shutout.Mitchell Lee hit the ball well for the Royals. Dillion Goslin and Carter Long each pitched for the Royals. Joe Albert made a great catch in centerfield. On May 21st, Keelan Hynes led the Tigers with a strong pitching performance as well as going 4-4, 3 runs and 2 RBIs. Brendan Carney had a homerun and 4 RBIs. Mike Kahn (4 RBI's), Matt Kahn (3 RBI's), Zane Insko (3RBI's), Trevor Martin (2 runs) and Graham Giffen (2 runs) all played well for the Tigers. Zach Gauthier played well for the Royals. He pitched 3 innings, had 6 strikeouts and went 2-2 from the plate. Colby Berger and Lars Lauersen each had 2 hits and Tim Bigos had an RBI for the Royals.

Blue Jays top A's

On Saturday, Aaran Maran and Ryan Lusty recorded 14 strikeouts between them in leading the Blue Jays to a 9 - 1 victory over the A's. Getting hits for the Blue Jays were Evan Hoatson, Derek Neal (triple) and Aaran Maran ( homerun). For the A's, Kyle Robinson had 2 hits while Anthony Sciaudone, Braden Dunn and Nick Goulette each had one.
