Author Matt Berg and striving "Survivor" Sue Pollard held a book-signing event on Saturday, May 27, at the Village Food Market in Ogunquit and Sunday at the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery. Pollard's book, "The Alternate Survivor," is a saga of her runner-up status as a contestant in not one, but three television reality shows. During the two events Pollard said she signed about 200 books. She encouraged people to e-mail CBS to give her another chance to be a contestant. Those who want to support "the small-town girl from Maine who has always refused to take no for an answer" can go to www.cbs.com, scroll down to the bottom, hit on feedback and e-mail the network. Pollard's website is www.thealternatesurvivor.com.
