Anita Wiggin
YORK BEACH - Anita R. (Jones) Wiggin, 77, of 32 Broadway, died Friday, June 2, 2006, in York Hospital.She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., daughter of Merritt and Ruth (Hollister) Jones. She was a member of the Union Congregational Church in York Beach and the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Boardman-Ellis VFW Post 6977. She was a former Girl Scout Cookie chairman and leader and had volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
She leaves a son, Walter F. Wiggin and his wife, Cheryl A. Wiggin of Cape Neddick; a daughter, Joanne N. Gerald and her husband, Timothy R. Gerald of York Beach; a brother, Merritt Jones of Manchester, N.H.; four grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her husband of 43 years, Richard L. Wiggin and two brothers, Warren Jones and Nelson Jones predeceased her.
The funeral service for Mrs. Wiggin will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, in the Union Congregational Church, Church Street, York Beach. Burial will follow in First Parish Cemetery, York.
