York Town News
The Daisy Girl Scouts of Troop 392 have made their promise and joined the ranks of the Brownie Girl Scouts in town. Last Tuesday, May 30, these youngest members of York's scouting organizations gathered at the York Fish and Game for their Bridging Ceremony, where they were officially helped across the bridge from Daisies to Brownies. For the Brownie Girl Scouts of York's Troop 1100, Wednesday, May 24, was more than just a regular meeting day. Earlier this year, the girls designed two patches for the Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council's Add-a-Girl Patches contest. Last week, Kennebec Council Membership and Marketing Manager Tammy Murray arrived at their meeting to award each girl with an Add-a-Girl patch - as they had won the last contest for the special patches. Above, Murray (far right) and Troop Leader Lynn Osgood pose with the Brownies (front, from left) Grace Bettinson, Katherine Bullock, Katie Mahoney, Hannah Berger, Enya Childs, Abby Beaulieu and (back row) Carly Osgood, Rachel Stevenson, Emily Bird and Abby Mahoney and their award-winning patch design.
