YORK - Old York Historical Society will present its 17th annual Decorator Show House at "Hillside Cottage" in Cape Neddick this summer.
The 19th-century shingle style cottage, located on a hill overlooking Cape Neddick Harbor, will feature more than 24 spaces decorated by some of the region's finest interior and landscape designers.
To kick off the pre-show activities, the Old York staff and board of trustees hosted a reception at Jefferds Tavern to honor and introduce the designers chosen for this year's show house. Work has already begun and will continue until the opening Gala on July 14.
The Decorator Show House will open to the public from July 15 through August 12 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The house will be closed on Tuesdays.
Tickets for the Preview Gala on Friday, July 14, are $60 per person, by reservation only, and include admission to the show house.
