To quote the sentiment expressed by local officials, York is now the proud owner of what may soon be the home of a new Town Hall. York takes ownership of almost six acres of land in York Village The second phase of what officials have deemed a major subdivision at Highland Farm was the focus of the bulk of last week's Planning Board meeting, as members of the public urged the board to proceed with caution. With six local articles to be voted on and a primary election for state and federal officials, voter turnout was light by mid-day on Tuesday, according to Town Clerk Judy Shaw-Kagieliery. The Ogunquit Board of Selectmen held a work session Monday afternoon to discuss, with public input, the parking fee structure in the public lots, both in the high season that begins this weekend and in the shoulder season months of the spring and fall.
