Guitar signed by three legends up for auction, benefit concert this Sunday
YORK - The Seacoast Concert for a Cure Committee has announced that an electric guitar signed by music legends Lyle Lovett, Guy Clark and Joe Ely is currently being auctioned off on eBay.The 2006 Seacoast Concert for a Cure is set for this Sunday, June 25, at Redhook Brewery in nearby Portsmouth, N.H. The event will be held from12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with all proceeds to benefit breast cancer research and survivor support.
Musicians from all over the Seacoast region and from many genres of the musical spectrum are donating their talents to champion research and support for those who are fighting and who will fight breast cancer. From folk, country and blues, to jazz, swing and rock, the air will be filled with sounds of people helping people and celebrating the many triumphs over this disease.
All proceeds of the concert and the guitar auction benefit the charities supported by the Seacoast Concert for a Cure. The guitar is a First Act guitar and was donated by independent radio station 92.5 The River.

In addition to the eBay auction, a silent auction to be held the day of the Concert for a Cure will include two roundtrip tickets to anywhere Southwest Airlines flies, two trips to Florida, a two-night stay for two at Purity Springs Resort in Madison, N.H., and many more items donated by the local businesses and individual.

This year's concert lineup includes Assembly of Dust, deSol, Pondering Judd, Bellevue Cadillac, Tom Richter and the Bernoulli Sailors and Rock My Soul gospel chorus. It will take place rain or shine under a tent and concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on and to dance to the music. Food and beverages will be available from Redhook Brewery and Sweet Scoops Frozen Yogurt will provide free samples.
Tickets for the concert are $20 in advance and $25 day of show. Admission for children 12 and under is free.
