Arthur Ahlquist
YORK - Arthur L. Ahlquist, 78, of 6 Perkins Drive, died Saturday, June 17, 2006, in York Hospital after a recent illness.He was born in Boston, Mass., son of Theodore and Anne (Collier) Ahlquist and had lived in Natick, Mass., before moving to York 11 years ago. He was a graduate of Providence College and worked as a private investigator for many years.
He leaves his wife of 41 years, Winifred M. (Sawyer) Ahlquist; a son, Eric E. Ahlquist of Derry, N.H., and a sister, Carol Glaser of Kittery.
He was an avid reader and sports enthusiast. He also enjoyed genealogy and music.
Calling hours for Mr. Ahlquist were held on Monday, June 19 in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road. Funeral services will be private.
