Sentry Hill at York Harbor dedicated a new perennial garden at its Second Annual Summer Garden Party. The Garden Committee includes Co-Chairpersons Cynthia Raymond and Roland Glenn and members Rae Kerr, Pat Welsh, Ida Watson, Carol Gronquist, George Hamsley and Bunkie Gowans. This committee of residents has developed three gardens on the grounds of Sentry Hill, two perennials and one rose. Sentry Hill is an active adult community where residents enjoy many activities such as Writer's Guild, Talking Points, Book Club and the Coffee Clache, just to name a few. In addition to independent living, Sentry Hill is home to 80 seniors who need assistance with their activities of daily living, including a specialized memory impairment program. Sentry Hill is one of 15 walk sites for Memory Walk, the largest fundraiser for The Maine Alzheimer's Association, taking place on Saturday, Oct. 7. Call 363-5116 for more on Sentry Hill.
