Sentencing postponed in Fisher case

YORK - A former resident who was set to be sentenced June 26 for his part in a drug case that resulted in the death of a local teen will have to wait for his day in court.

The sentencing for Scott Fisher, who pleaded guilty to federal drug charges about 18 months ago, has been postponed, York Police Detective Thomas Cryan confirmed last week. A new date had not been set at press time.

While Fisher awaits sentencing, a second local man, John Sweeney, with a last known address of York, was sentenced earlier this month to 25 months in federal prison on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
