Union Congregational Church summer services begin July 2

YORK BEACH - Union Congregational Church, located on Church Street, has announced that beginning Sunday, July 2, weekly worship services will commence at 9 a.m. through the Labor Day weekend.

The Reverend Patricia Smith, pastor, has indicated that the church seeks to accommodate all who seek Sunday worship with ample time remaining during the day for other summer Sunday activities.

The services will include full content with the presentation of regularly scheduled sacraments, and the participation of the full church choir.

Additionally, the church is expanding its music presence in the community through a group choral effort with two summer evening concerts planned.

Director of Music Brandy Irish is opening the opportunity of ecumenical participation to vocalists throughout the area. She is seeking voices of all experience levels to join the choral group in singing a diverse repertoire of music types.

Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. at the church. For more details, call (207) 752-7280, or simply show up at a rehearsal for an informal and fun music experience.
