Richard Arthur Lannon, Sr.
YORK - Richard Arthur Lannon Sr, 71, of Village Woods, York, passed away on July 7, 2006.Richard was born, raised and attended schools in Waltham, Mass. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1953 and was honorably discharged in March of 1957.
Richard spent most of his working career at Waltham's Reece Corporation.
Richard married Joan Shreenan (now Moody) and had two children, Richard Jr. of York and Kathleen Abbondanzio of West Gardiner, Maine.
Richard was the son of William and Rose (Sullivan) Lannon; brother to William, Jimmy, Joyce and Rose; grandfather of Michael Lannon and Eddie Abbondanzio and uncle to many nephews and nieces
Richard loved to collect coins, frequent The Goldenrod and was a lifetime member of York's VFW Post #6977.
The graveside service for Richard was held on Friday, July 14, in the First Parish Cemetery, York.
Al Moulton of the VFW assisted the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home with arrangements.
