Don't miss out on AWS Summer Youth Camps

KENNEBUNK - The Animal Welfare Society is holding its annual summer workshop sessions beginning through August 31 for children between the ages of seven and 14.

The children will have an opportunity to experience life at the AWS with the society's fun-loving, furry friends.

"We still have spaces open in our Monday one-day camps and some in our Tuesday through Thursday three-day camps so please hurry to sign up and make sure you don't miss out on this great opportunity," said Program Coordinator Katie Dolloff.

The program has proven to be a rewarding opportunity for the children who actively participate in the care and socialization of the shelter animals.

There is a fun, new agenda this year as well as a new craft idea to make for the animals at the shelter.

The youth programs for ages seven to 11 are available in July and offer one-day and three-day camp options.

The programs for ages 12 to 14 run during August, with the same one-day and three-day options each week.

The registration fee is $65 for the one-day class and $160 for the three-day camp.
