Burglary investigation continues

YORK- The York Police Department is continuing a 10-day-old investigation into a burglary of $30,000 worth of items from Essence of Time Antiques on Route 1 in Cape Neddick.As of Monday afternoon, however, few additional details had been released in the case.
The theft was reported shortly after 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, by the shop's owner, Dena Flanagan.
The break took place sometime between 6 p.m. that Friday and when the owner arrived Saturday morning. Police have estimated the value of the items taken at about $30,000.
Missing items include a Masonic ornamental sword valued at $120, four jack knives valued at $175 each, a deco band diamond ring with an estimated value of $2,500, a Tiffany diamond ring valued at $3,000, a platinum wedding band valued at $750, three men's gold rings valued at $300, 17 women's gold rings valued at $500 each, a man's fancy crown onyx worth $500 and a women's opal with a floral design valued at $750.
The store's cash draw was also emptied of about $50, according to police reports.
Police said a window was broken to gain entry and an electrical meter box on the property was destroyed. The value of those items was set at $100.
Flanagan told police the front door of the shop was unlocked when she arrived Saturday morning, there was no power to the building and the phone was also out.
