The Music Scene...
The Chris Fitz Band is one of New England's premier original bands, receiving accolades including a 2002 Boston Music Award nomination and winner for the "Outstanding New Blues Act," being named a finalist for the 2003 International Songwriting Competition and runner up for the single "Never Been To Memphis." The band is closing in on 10,000 copies sold of their three CDs, Just Gettin' Started (1998), This Is My Church (2000), and Journey of Hope (2002) - all with no record deal and no distribution - a testament to their intoxicating live show. The Chris Fitz Band will be playing at Inn on the Blues on Friday, Aug. 18.
