York High School Class of 2006 honor graduate Colleen Farrell, 18, of Cape Neddick, has been selected as Miss Flame of 2006. Miss Flame is an integral part of the annual York Firemen's Parade, which will be held this weekend. In fact, Saturday, Aug. 19, marks the 90th Annual Fireman's Field Day Parade and Muster in York. Join the York Fire Department and an array of area firefighters for the parade line-up at the intersection of Woodbridge Road and York Street at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the parade at noon. After the parade, the muster will begin at Harmon Park in York Harbor. The event will feature food, vendors, games and more. All are welcome to attend.
