Volunteer training begins next month
YORK - Hospice of York is looking for men and women to become Hospice volunteers.Training classes will begin Monday, Sept. 11, and are open to potential volunteers as well as to those in related fields or to anyone interested for their own information.
Training sessions will be held weekly on Mondays, with one Saturday session, at J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home in Kittery.
The training runs for 13 weeks. Classes are from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
There is a $30 registration fee and pre-registration is necessary. Scholarship aid may be available.
