Nick

Nick
I am a beautiful seven-year-old neutered male German shepherd mix looking for a family who appreciates and understands my predominant breed, the German shepherd dog. Nick here, back at the shelter looking for my forever home. You may recall that I was adopted a while back and my family returned me because I was wary of strangers. That is just part of my breed. I can be taught, by a strong and confident leader, that I do not have to make a decision about strangers or anything else. You will make my decisions for me and I can relax. Continued work on my obedience training will give you and me a strong bond and a working relationship. I get along with most dogs and if you have a dog the staff can do a proper introduction. I have touch sensitivity and because of this will only be placed in a home with kids over 12 years of age. I am housetrained too! Since I have been back at the shelter I appeared in the Kennebunk May Day Parade and have continued my obedience work at the shelter dog obedience classes on Thursday nights with one of my favorite volunteers. She took me to the parade too. If you are looking for a 100 percent German shepherd dog in heart, personality, loyalty and smarts - without the classic pointy ears - come see me. I recently underwent surgery on my ACL ligament, which was giving me pain. I'm on the mend now and am staying in the staff lounge for some extra TLC! Make sure you stop by the shelter and ask about me.

Flint

Flint
Well hello there, my name is Flint. I am a two-year-old neutered male cat with medium-length orange tabby colored hair. I was previously adopted but returned because I was not a good match with the cats already in the home. I like to be brushed/petted, and also playing, being held, sleeping, being with people and sitting in laps. I also LOVE to sit in the window! The shelter staff says I'm friendly, shy, quiet, smart, independent, playful and submissive. I have tested positive for corona virus. The vet believes I am just a carrier. Because of this, I will need to go into a house by myself or with another cat that is also positive. I will also need to remain an indoor-only kitty. I know we could be a wonderful match, so please visit me soon!

Ginger

Ginger
Hi there! My name is Ginger. I am a one-year-old female Rex-mix rabbit. My previous family surrendered me to the shelter because they had no time for me. You can probably tell where I got my name… from my beautiful ginger-colored hair with tan points. Quite the striking girl, wouldn't you agree? The shelter staff says I'm a sweet and calm girl that would love to move in with you. Do you have the room for a bunny playpen and exercise area? Why not visit me? You won't be disappointed!
