York Police Department Incident Log

Sunday, Sept. 3

11:40 a.m. Karen J. Marcouillier, 46, Sandown, N.H., driving a 2004 Cadillac, was in collision in the southbound lane on Route 1 near the Old Post Road intersection with a 1999 Mercury driven by Joelle Cote, 19, Montreal, Canada. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

12:26 p.m. Gilles R. Niquette, 62, Repentigny, Quebec, driving a 1999 Ford motor home, was in collision with a 2001 Mercedes station wagon parked at the fuel pumps at Mr. Mike's on Route 1. The Mercedes, owned by Joan D. Griswold, was most recently driven by Peter L. Griswold, 64, of Wellesley, Mass. Damage to the Mercedes was estimated at $2,500 and to the motor home, $500.

11 p.m. A 17-year old York boy was charged at the intersection of Rogers Road and Route 1 with operating without being licensed, sale/use of drug paraphernalia and administrative OUI/zero tolerance. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court on Dec. 7.

Monday, Sept. 4

8 a.m. Robert J. LeBlanc, 64, River Road, Cape Neddick, was charged at Short Sands parking lot with failure to properly dispose of animal waste. He has a court date of Nov. 29.

11:36 a.m. Cheryl Kinder, 46, Loganville, Ga., was charged at Joan's Beach and Gift Shop with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer of $21 in merchandise. Her court date is set for Nov. 9.

4:54 p.m. David M. Jacobs, 24, West Orange, N.J., driving a 2006 Honda owned by Dorene Golub, sustained $2,500 damage to the vehicle when it was in collision at Spur Road with a 2006 Chevrolet driven by Josephus Leveau, 63, Maastricht, Netherlands, owned by Alamo Financial, L.P. Damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $2,000.

Tuesday, Sept. 5

7:40 a.m. Recreation Department employees reported to police that $1,400 damage was done to the Bog Road Athletic Field sometime during the night. The fence, gate and grass near the concession stand were damaged by a small car.

7:53 p.m. Michael R. Prewitt, 20, Tide Meadow Lane, York, was charged on the Spur Road with violation of a protection order. He faces a Nov. 9 court date.

Wednesday, Sept. 6

1:27 p.m. Alicia May Goodchild, 70, Merritt Island, Fla., driving a 2006 Kia van, was in collision on Route 1 near Carriage House Antiques with a 2006 Buick driven by Raymond Vilandry, 81, Ogunquit. Damage to the Kia was estimated at $10,000 and to the Buick, $8,000.

3:10 p.m. Andrew C. Fox, 26, Route 1, York, driving a 1994 Honda owned by Peter W. Leitch, Londonderry, N.H., lost control of the vehicle on Cider Hill Road, York and struck a stone wall and several small trees. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,500.

Thursday, Sept. 7

12:51 p.m. Christopher J. Stobe, 32, Route 1, Cape Neddick, driving a 1996 Jeep, struck a utility pole at the intersection of Route 1 and Old Post Road, causing $6,500 damage to the vehicle. The accident caused a power outage to approximately 6,000 homes and businesses in York Village and York Beach for about two hours.

6:30 p.m. Mary F. Tierney, 67, Arlington, Mass., driving a 2004 Mercury owned by Richard D. Tierney, was in collision at the Hannaford parking lot with a 1997 Acura driven by Raymond L. deMars, 67, Axholme Road, York. Damage to the Mercury was estimated at $1,500 and to the Acura, $2,500.

Friday, Sept. 8

11:58 a.m. A resident of Pepperell Way, York, reported the theft sometime during the day of an 18 -peed black and yellow mountain bike valued at $60.

7:01 p.m. Angus Harmon, 34, Concord, N.H., was charged at the intersection of Ridge Road and Old Post Road with criminal OUI and operating while license is suspended or revoked.
