Football

Last Friday night, Sept. 15, the Cape Elizabeth Capers (3-0) visited the York High Wildcats looking to avenge last year's loss at Cape. On Sunday, Sept. 17, the York Pee Wee Youth Football A and B squads were able to shut out the Marshwood teams in local Southern Maine Youth Football League action.

Soccer

The Wildcats brought themselves back up over the .500 mark with easy road wins last week over Wells, 6-0, and Fryeburg, 9-0. The York Wildcats dream start came to an end last Wednesday, Sept. 15, losing 2-1 at Falmouth when they ran headfirst into a dominating Yachtsmen midfield that held York on the defensive throughout the game.

Wildcats field hockey tears apart Cape and Yarmouth

Cross Country

On Friday, Sept. 15, the York cross-country teams dominated the competition at Pineland Farm in Gray.

Biking

In just its second year, the York Beach Criterium saw a huge increase in the number of cycling enthusiasts who took part in the event.
