Fall exhibitions at Barn Gallery
OGUNQUIT - Barn Gallery will host its fall exhibitions from Sept. 7 through Oct. 1.As an informal part of the Maine Print Project, Ogunquit Art Association printmakers and non-printmakers will mount an open printmaking show featuring original etchings, block prints, monoprints, silkscreens, and more.
"OAA Expressions" will feature work in a wide variety of media and subject.
Photographer Maryelle Braunstein and printmaker Don Gorvett will have showcase exhibitions in the newly renovated North Gallery. Dean Minor, Earl Weeks and George Carpenter will be remembered in a small memorial exhibition in the Lower Gallery.
Part two of The Invited New England Sculptors Exhibition will continue in the outdoor sculpture court.
All are invited to a Reception on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Two artist gallery talks will be held on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Printmakers and non-printmakers will discuss and demonstrate different types of printmaking on Thursday, Sept. 7, and Braunstein and Gorvett will explore different approaches to the real world in a gallery talk on Sept. 14.
The gallery will close for the season at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The Barn Gallery is located at the corner of Shore Road and Bourne Lane. There is limited free parking. For receptions and other major events patrons are urged to park in the town lots.
