Donations needed for YMS used sporting goods sale
YORK VILLAGE - Do you have used sporting equipment that you're just aching to clean out of those closets?Do you need equipment to complete your gear for practice or games?
Then the York Middle School Parent Group's Second Annual Used Sporting Goods Sale is the place for you.
"This event was a huge success last year and we'd like it to be even bigger this year," said Sheilah McGovern Reynolds of the York Middle School Parent Group in her announcement of the upcoming event.
This year's sale is scheduled for Sept. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at York Middle School's Organug Road location. All proceeds from the sale will go to fund civic field trips for students to see the government at work.
Donations are needed, and the drop-off dates are Sept. 23, 25 and 26 from 5 to 6 p.m.; Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to noon, and Sept. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Only articles that are in good, clean and up-to-date condition will be accepted.
Items are being sought include soccer, football, baseball, tennis, golf, karate, dance, hockey, lacrosse, surfing, skates, skate boards, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, fencing, rock climbing, archery, field hockey, cleats and more. All sizes for adults and children will be accepted.
