St. George's to show "An Inconvenient Truth"
YORK HARBOR - St. George's Episcopal Church will hold a screening of "An Inconvenient Truth" on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 6:30 p.m.St. George's is one of 60 congregations in Maine showing the film in early October.
The film points to the dire consequences the planet faces if we don't take action immediately to control carbon dioxide emissions.
As renowned critic Roger Ebert said in his review of the film back in June, "In 39 years, I have never written these words in a movie review, but here they are: You owe it to yourself to see this film. If you do not, and you have grandchildren, you should explain to them why you decided not to."
