Sunday, Sept. 24

1:50 a.m. A 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck operated by Todd Z. Zelenkewick, 23, of 207 Chase's Pond Road, York, went out of control on Route 1, struck a curbing, a Central Maine Power Company utility pole, several trees and a second CMP pole head on. Damage to the truck was estimated at $16,000. Zelenkewick was subsequently charged with criminal operating under the influence. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 7.

5:01 p.m. A Wells resident reported her 2004 Honda Element had been "keyed" while parked on Main Street in York Beach. Damage was estimated at $50.

11:20 p.m. Thomas Hamel, 54, of 17 Philip Drive, Holyoke, Mass., was charged with criminal operating under the influence on Route 1. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 7.

Monday, Sept. 25

7:59 a.m. A Heron Drive resident reported an attempted break into his van. There were pry marks on the door. Damage was estimated at $50.

Tuesday, Sept. 26

7:50 a.m. A 2003 Audi station wagon operated by Lynn S. Friar, 57, of Box 449, York Harbor, and a 2003 Ford van operated by Kurt W. Freitag, 44, of 1 White Lance Drive, York, were in collision on Route 1 at the intersection with Southside Road. Damage was estimated at $3,500 to the Audi, $1,500 to the Ford.

11:18 a.m. A 2004 Ford truck operated by Joshua Gammon of Box 1245, York Beach, and a 2006 Toyota sedan parked by Celeste A. White of Box 1358, York Beach, were in collision on Ridge Road. Damage was estimated at $1,500 to the Toyota. There was no damage to the Ford.

9:20 p.m. A 1971 Mercedes two-door operated by Jeffrey M. Perkins, 39, of 371 Shore Road, Box 1360, York Harbor, left Shore Road. Damage was estimated at $8,000. Perkins was subsequently charged with leaving the scene of a property accident. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 7.

Wednesday, Sept. 27

3:30 p.m. A 2002 Toyota sedan operated by Mary Kathleen Moran, 40, of 21 Manson Ave., Kittery, and a 2007 Ford sedan owned by Hertz Rental Co. of 900 Doremus Ave., Port Newark, N.J., operated by Seth Wayland Bacon, 28, of 360 South Detroit St., Apt. 301, Los Angeles, Calif., were in collision on Route 1 at the Spur Road. Damage was estimated at $2,000 to the Toyota. There was no damage to the Ford.

4:26 a.m. More than a dozen mailboxes were damaged on Mill Lane and Route 91. One of the boxes was valued at $40. There was also $100 damage reported to a washing machine that was on a front lawn. Police are investigating.

Thursday, Sept. 28

1:15 p.m. A 2005 Dodge pickup truck operated by Kurt R. Nolden, 45, of 10 Groundnut Hill Road, Cape Neddick, went out of control on Ogunquit Road striking several trees and landing in the ditch. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

Friday, Sept. 29

3:25 p.m. A 2003 Dodge sedan operated by Dorothy K. Payne, 74, of 37 Route 103, York, and a 1989 Volvo sedan operated by Gary M. Langley, 59, of 978 Main St., Eliot, were in collision at the intersection of the Spur Road and Route 1. Damage was estimated at $2,000 to the Dodge, $1,000 to the Volvo.

7:17 p.m. Susan Lurvey, 53, of 159 Summer St., Rockland, Mass., was charged with criminal operating under the influence and possession of a useable amount of marijuana on Old Post Road. She is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 7.

Saturday, Sept. 30

2:12 a.m. Sean J. Noble, 32, of 100 Mountain Road, York, was charged with criminal trespass at the Union Bluff Hotel. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 14.

8:35 a.m. A 2005 Ford station wagon operated by Marie R. Vangeyten, 77, of Box 241, Henderson, N.Y., and a 2005 Jeep sport utility vehicle operated by Karen M. Bracy, 27, of Box 534, Cape Neddick, were in collision on Route 1. Damage was estimated at $10,000 to each vehicle.

9:20 a.m. A 2003 GMC pickup truck operated by Jay T. Tachibana, 34, of 119 Summer St., Kennebunk, and a 2002 Ford pickup truck operated by Eric S. Goldberg, 41, of Box 102, Cape Neddick, owned by Ledgemere Maine of Box 999, Wells, were in collision on Route 1. Damage was estimated at $2,000 to each vehicle.

9:45 a.m. A 2004 Ford sport utility vehicle operated by Gerald M. Arensbach, 44, of 16 Robinhood Ave., Billerica, Mass.; A 1993 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle operated by James H. Tysson, 51, of 4 Goose Point Road, Kittery, and a 2005 Pontiac station wagon owned by Lea M. Dantz and operated by Kelly Jean Hewey, 23, of 26 Pinney St., Ellington,. Conn., were involved in a chain reaction collision on Route 1 at Orchard Farm Road. Damage was estimated at $100 to the Ford, $2,000 to the Chevrolet, and $8,000 to the Pontiac.

2:19 p.m. An Ocean Avenue Extension resident reported the theft of a white wicker chair from his home. The chair was valued at $200.
