Guy (Bud) Messenger

YORK - Guy (Bud) Messenger, 80, formerly of York and Gorham, and retiring to Industry, passed away Oct. 6, 2006, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

He leaves behind his wife, Roberta; two daughters, Marcia Ann Farranti of O'Fellon, Ill., and Bonnie Irving of Gorham; a sister, Jean West of York Beach, several nieces, nephews and stepchildren.

Guy had a television and radio repair shop on York Street and drove a school bus for many years here in York.

Later, he worked for Day's Jewelry Store before retiring to Industry, Maine.

Bud and Roberta were active in the American Legion and the Special Olympics.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics.
