York Police Department Incident Log
Sunday, Oct. 110:17 p.m. Marcello J. Desario, 20, of 77 Raynes Neck Road, York, was charged with operating while a license is suspended or revoked and possession of a suspended license on Route 1.He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 7.
Tuesday, Oct. 3
12:30 p.m. A 2005 Mazda station wagon legally parked by John P. Flanagan, 72, of Box 1290, York Beach, and a 2003 Saturn station wagon legally parked by Margaret E. Gromlich, 76, of Box 1598, Ogunquit, and a 2006 Ford sport utility vehicle owned by Enterprise Rental Car of 6 Perimeter Road, East, Londonderry, N.H., operated by Michael Gehron, 36, of 18 Wyman Ave., Kittery, were in collision on Lindsay Road. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the Ford, $1,500 to the Mazda and $200 to the Saturn.
Wednesday, Oct. 4
11:54 a.m. Patrick Rafferty, 42, of 7 Partridge Lane, North Berwick, was charged with criminal operating under the influence on Route 91. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 7.
2:49 p.m. Joshua Kent, 20, of 1 Remick's Lane, Kittery, turned himself in at the York Police Department in regard to a York County Sheriff's Department warrant for failure to appear in court. No court date was listed.
9:40 p.m. A 2003 Volkswagen sedan owned by Carol Romano and operated by Anthony L. Romano, 18, of 13 McIntire Road, York, swerved to miss a raccoon on Birch Hill Road, went off the road and struck bushes. Damage was estimated at $12,500. Romano was subsequently charged with imprudent speed.
10:30 p.m. A Southside Road resident reported his car had been wrapped in plastic wrap and cooking oil poured on it. "Caution" tape was also thrown on his front lawn. Damage was estimated at $50.
Thursday, Oct. 5
11:40 a.m. A 2006 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle owned by Alamo Financing LP of 6929 North Lakewood Ave, Suite 100, Tulsa, Okla., operated by Timothy J. Kostka, 34, of 342 The Glen, Tamiment, Pa., and a 2001 Volvo station wagon operated by Francis L. Norton, 45, of 102 Stephen Eaton Lane, Wells, were in collision on Route 1 at the intersection with River Road. Damage was estimated at $4,500 to the Chevrolet and $2,500 to the Volvo.
Friday, Oct. 6
9:19 a.m. A 1999 Ford station wagon operated by Paul J. Bicica, 55, of 147 Martin Meadow Road, Plainfield, Vt., and a 1996 GMC pickup truck operated by John M. Carew, 41, of 1286 Route 1, Cape Neddick, were in collision on Route 1. Damage was estimated at $1,200 to the Ford, $500 to the GMC.
Saturday, Oct. 7
12:40 a.m. A 1994 Subaru station wagon owned by Dale A. Achorn of 12 Somerset, Brewer, operated by Matthew L. Smith, 37, of 14 Gorgeana Way, Apt. 9, York, ran off Ridge Road receiving an estimated $2,000 in damage.
12:28 p.m. A 2006 Buick sedan operated by Margaret M. Hartford of 92 Wild Rose Lane, New Castle, N.H., and a 2006 Pontiac sedan owned by Travelers Indemnity of 6929 North Lakewood Ave., Tulsa, Okla., operated by Passapopn Sukmang Pilano of 1511 Mirror Lake Drive, Seabrook, Texas, were in collision on Route 1. Damage was estimated at $8,000 to the Buick, $3,000 to the Pontiac.
1:05 p.m. Meghan Doherty, 22, of Box 233, Steep Falls, was charged with operating an unregistered vehicle on Hannaford Drive. No court day was listed.
2:52 p.m. Daniel Dugas, 23, of 1 Idlewood Lane, Kittery, was charged with operating an unregistered all-terrain vehicle on Cider Hill Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 14.
5:37 p.m. A 2000 Dodge van operated by Malcolm L. Woods, 70, of Box 1035, York, and a 2003 Volkswagen sedan operated by Danielle Parkhurst, 34, of 4 Hamlin Place, York Beach, were in collision on Route 1. Damage was estimated at $1,900 to the Dodge, $3,500 to
