Football

First-year senior kicker Ryan MacGlashing came through with every kicker's dream: a walk off R 20 yard field goal, last Friday night, Oct.13, to give the York Wildcats (5-2) a crucial 30-29 win over the Greely Rangers (4-3). On Sunday morning, Oct. 15, the York Pee Wee Youth Football A and B teams split the difference as they hosted Kennebunk with a win each at the York High School football field in Southern Maine Youth Football League action.

Soccer

There have been times when they looked capable of beating anybody, but those times have yet to come in any consistent fashion for the boys' soccer team this year. The girls' soccer team finished off the regular season on a solid note, breaking down a cynical defensive performance by Wells, 4-1, and rolling over Freeport 6-0 to finish with a record of 9-4-1. The York under-12 girls' soccer team played three strong games in the Harvest Cup Tournament.

Field Hockey

Field hockey had their final regular season game last Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Falmouth.

Cross Country

On Friday, Oct. 13, both the boys' and girls' varsity cross-country teams placed fourth at the Western Maine Conference Championship Meet in Falmouth.
