Candidate forum set for Oct. 23

YORK - The public is invited to meet candidates seeking to represent the citizens of Kittery, Eliot, York and South Berwick, at the county, state and federal levels on Oct. 23.

The KEYS Candidates Forum will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an informal meet and greet, followed by formal introductions and a few questions posed by the representatives of the Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber is the host of the event, which will be held at the York Harbor Inn ballroom.

Those who had confirmed their attendance as of late last week included candidates for governor Chandler Woodcock, Barbara Merrill, Bruce Coyne and Alex Hammer; Maine Senate District 1 candidates Peter Bowman and Ken Lemont; Maine House of Representatives District 146 candidates David Burke, Bonnie Gould and Adam Scharff; District 148 candidates Roberta Beavers and Sarah Lewin; District 149 candidates Bradley Moulton and Dawn Hill; District 150 candidates Kinley Gregg and Windol Weaver; York County Sheriff candidates David Corbett and Maurice Ouellette; York County Treasurer candidates James Atwood and Nancy Auclair and York County Commissioner candidates Gloria Layman and Jeffrey Furbish.
