Miss Maine hopeful and the Master Roaster at Food & Co. this weekend
YORK - Come meet some area celebrities at Food & Co. and have some fun on Friday and Saturday.This Saturday, Oct. 21, Miss Maine USA contestant Amanda Wright and Maine Roasters Coffee Master Roaster Andy Grondin and General Manager Jamie Corriveau will be on hand at the café and gourmet food market.
From 10 a.m. until noon, Grondin and Corriveau will be on hand talking coffee and answering your questions. Find out the latest perks in the world of java from two of the best authorities around.
Then, from 2 to 4 p.m., Wright will be making a personal appearance at Food & Co. to promote her campaign to become Miss Maine USA in the Miss USA competition. Meet Wright face to face and show your support for her efforts. Any funds raised beyond the costs of the competition will benefit the American Diabetes Association in honor of her father.
Other events at Food & Co. this weekend include a wine tasting Friday Oct., 20 from 4 to 7 p.m., complete with complimentary hors d'oeuvres prepared by Chef-owner Brian C. Martin. There will also be retail promotional offers such as free travel mugs with a coffee purchases and buy-one, get-one dinner coupons.
