Mary Ellen Kaminske

YORK - Mary Ellen Kaminske, 50, of 29 Sunrise Terrace, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, in her home with her loving husband by her side, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

She was born, March 13, 1956, in North Tonawanda, N.Y., daughter of Frank and Barbara (Kelley) Weingartner. She had worked as a tax analyst for Timberland Company in Stratham, N.H. She was a member of St. Christopher's Church and active in the youth ministry.

She leaves behind her husband of 27 years, Kevin S. Kaminske; a son, Aaron S. Kaminske of New York City; a daughter, Katelyn E. Kaminske of York; two brothers, Timothy Weingartner of Greensboro, N.C., and Paul Weingartner of Tonawanda, N.Y., and a sister, Karen Engle of Rochester, N.Y.

She was predeceased by her dear sister, Colleen Weingartner.

She was a beloved aunt to twelve nieces and nephews and a true friend to all. She loved children with boundless compassion and her dedication to the need of others was inspirational. The turtle community will forever be indebted to her efforts to guarantee their unrestricted "right of way." She lived life to its fullest and will always be remembered for her unconditional love and service to others.

The memorial Mass for Mary will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York. Burial will be held in First Parish Cemetery, York. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
