York Police Department Incident Log

Sunday, Oct. 15

2:34 a.m. A 1999 Jeep operated by James M. Cahill, 20, of 197 Long Sands Road, York, and owned by Anne E. Harrington of Cape Neddick, went off Route 1 and collided with a tree. Damage was estimated at $15,000.

2 p.m. A 1991 Ford owned and operated by Eric Knox, 26, of 298 Long Sands Road, York, and a 2004 Chevrolet owned and operated by Stephen A. Clauson, 37, of 5 Beaver Dam Road, South Berwick, were in collision on Chase's Pond Road. Damage was estimated at $500 to each vehicle.

8:14 p.m. David J. Blake, 27, P.O. Box 1384, Wells, was charged with operating or allowing operation while registration is suspended and possession of a usable amount marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 7.

Monday, Oct. 16

1:20 p.m. A 2000 Toyota operated by Linda L. Perkins, 65, of 22 Angel Ave., York, and a 2001 Honda operated by Lorraine J. Ruger, 76, of 12 Atlantic Ave., York, were in collision in the Hannaford parking lot. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Wednesday, Oct. 18

11 a.m. A 2006 Chevrolet operated by Matthew B. Skelly, 28, of Victoria, Australia, owned by PV Holding Corp. of Virginia, and a 2005 Buick owned and operated by Cecile Campbell, 66, 388 Hillcrest Drive, Laconia, N.H., were in collision at Old Post Road and Route 1. Damage was estimated at $300 to the Chevrolet and $1,500 to the Buick.

11 a.m. McKenna's, Inc., reported the theft of a compressor, listed for sale at $2,000, sometime between Oct. 16 and 18.

6:53 p.m. Michael Prewitt, 20, 5 Tide Meadow Lane, York, was charged with violation of protection order and terrorizing. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Dec. 7.

Friday, Oct. 20

Police responded to multiple reports of trees and wires down, other damage and alarm activations due to high winds throughout the evening and into Saturday.

Saturday, Oct. 21

8 a.m. A vehicle operated by Karen J. Blethroade of Eliot sustained $1,000 in damage due to a construction pothole on Route 1.

9 a.m. The Anchorage Inn reported the theft of an American flag from its flagpole sometime between 5 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 21.

12:52 p.m. A Josiah Norton Road resident reported damage to a mailbox. Police are investigating.

2:30 p.m. A 2006 BMW operated by Casey E. Durgin, 2 Cook St., Kittery, and owned by Jay Durgin, sustained $1,200 in damage due to a construction ditch on Route
