YORK'S TEACHER OF THE YEAR. Current and former students of Coastal Ridge Elementary School fourth-grade teacher Deb Bradburn were busy last week pulling off a surprise to honor the person they believe should have been named Maine's Teacher of the Year. Bradburn, pictured here with just a few of the students taking part in the Oct. 24 event, was crowned as their favorite teacher and honored for her commitment to education by students and parents alike. Bradburn was one of three finalists for this year's Maine Teacher of the Year award, and was the only elementary school teacher to be named a finalist in the state.
