Norman Chase
YORK - Norman E. Chase, 49, died early Monday morning, Oct. 23, 2006, at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends after a brief battle with cancer.He was born in York on Dec. 1, 1956, son of Roger Earl Chase and Doris (Gagnon) Chase.
During his life he loved to hunt, go four-wheeling and spend time with his family.
He attended York schools, after which he worked for McKenna tree service and did foundations for the stones in the local cemeteries before he became a known roofer in town.
He is predeceased by his father, Roger Earl Chase, and is survived by his mother Doris, wife Nancy, and daughter Tiffany; two sisters, Gail and husband Mike of York and Nancy of York; two brothers, Danny and Tom, and Tom's wife Donna of York; six nieces and nephews, Chris and Brian, Roger, TJ and Melissa, and Nick, all of York, and four great-nieces and nephews, Hunter, Haley, Kiyla and Olivia.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, at First Parish Cemetery, and a celebration of Norman's life will be held after the service at the home of Tom and Donna Chase, 307 Route, 103.
