York co-ed football program begins this weekend

YORK - Sign up this Saturday, Nov. 4, for York's first co-ed youth football program.

Coach Bob LeClair currently helps coach the York Pee Wee boys' football. After frequent inquiries about forming a girls' football program, LeClair has been able to organize a two-squad football team with full equipment.

The football schedule begins with sign-ups and Equipment handouts and team assignments at York Middle School from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, Nov. 4.

Practices are set for Nov. 6 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and Nov. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at York Middle School with full equipment and practice jerseys.

Practice on Nov. 14 and 17 will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. with full equipment and game jerseys York Middle School. Pictures will also be taken on Nov. 14.

Game day is Nov. 18 at the York High School junior varsity field at 1 p.m.
