For sale: pieces of history

YORK BEACH - The closing of the York Beach Cinema last month marked the end of an era.

However, while supplies last, you can own a piece of this historic movie theatre from York's past.

Troy Williams, who managed the theatre for the past two seasons and has worked at the cinema for years preceding that, confirmed this week that everything must go as plans move forward for a new facility on the site of the theatre.

Due to a disconnected telephone, prior calls could not be received, Williams confirmed, urging residents who would like to own a piece of the past to contact him.

First floor seats are in rows of eight and are for sale at $100 each; balcony seats dating from 1914 are also up for sale. There is the tin ceiling, signs, antique doors, light fixtures and more up for grabs.

For more information, please contact Williams at (207) 337-2061.
