York Public Library inaugurates book group for new moms
YORK VILLAGE - Are you a new mother?Are you ready to read something other than Goodnight, Moon? Are you looking for a baby-friendly environment where you can talk with someone other than Barney, Big Bird … and yourself? Then come to the York Public Library for Babies, Boppies, and Books, a new book group for mothers with babies under a year old.
The inaugural meeting of this group is this Thursday, Nov. 9, from 10:15 to 11 a.m., and it will continue to meet on the second Thursday of each month at the same time to discuss books members have selected and read. At the first meeting, the group will get acquainted and select a book for December.
The goal is to provide a place where mothers of young babies can "come-as-they-are," meet other moms, and talk about a good book. There are no requirements but a love of reading.
The group is open to new members on a continuing basis.
