York Readers Theatre is back at the library
YORK VILLAGE - York Readers Theatre will present William Nicholson's "Retreat from Moscow" in the Meeting Room Theater at the York Public Library beginning Nov. 17."Retreat from Moscow" has been described as a richly lyrical and metaphorical play that uses Napoleon's horrific retreat from Moscow in 1812, one of the most tragic events in the history of warfare, as multi-faceted metaphor for the emotional pain and suffering that is inflicted on a family when confronted with divorce.
This three-person play was recently seen on Broadway with the lead roles portrayed by John Lithgow, Eileen Atkins and Ben Chaplin.
York Readers Theatre performances are Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m.
