Ronald Mitchell

YORK BEACH - Ronald M. Mitchell, 61, a longtime resident of York Beach and more recently of Lyman, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, in Southern Maine Medical Center, Biddeford.

He was born Dec. 12, 1944, son of Hilton L. and Marie (Clough) Mitchell, Sr. He served in the Navy and had worked for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 30 years before retiring. After retirement, he had worked as a service manager for Green Mountain Coffee Company.

He loved fishing and was a member of the Seacoast Bass Masters. He enjoyed woodworking and also his camp in Fayette.

He leaves his loving wife of 40 years, Leslie A. (Gregory) Mitchell; two sons, Shawn N. Mitchell of Wells and Shannon G. Mitchell of York Harbor, and a brother, Hilton L. Mitchell, Jr., of Eliot.

A brother, William L. Mitchell, and a sister, Claudia Lockner, predeceased him.

The funeral and burial will be private in First Parish Cemetery.
