NATIONAL AWARD FOR LOCAL BANK. Kennebunk Savings Bank recently received a national award from America's Community Bankers in the "Helping to Achieve Homeownership" category. KSB was one of only two banks selected nationwide. As part of its Community Investment Program, Kennebunk Savings Bank has been a key partner and advocate for local affordable housing along with York County Community Action (YCCA) since 1997. Working with YCCA, Kennebunk Savings has provided loans of upwards of $5.5 million, which has translated into 254 low-income families in York County realizing the dream of homeownership. The award was presented at the National America's Community Bankers Annual Convention in San Diego, Calif., where Vice President for Commercial Services Lorraine Boston, pictured here, was chosen to meet and have lunch with keynote speaker Ted Koppel, formerly of ABC News and now with the Discovery Channel.
