Meadowbrook businesses join forces
YORK - Have you visited the Meadowbrook Plaza on Route 1 recently? If not, a group of 13 of the business owners there are urging you to visit soon, and often, to check out their businesses, located right in York to serve your needs here in town.
A total of 13 of the many businesses that share a common address of the Meadowbrook Plaza have joined together as Meadowbrook Businesses Associated - MBA for short - to promote each other, explained Bob Rogers of UpSurf.net, who founded the group. The focus is not on promoting the plaza itself, but on letting residents know about the many businesses housed there.
In addition to Rogers' UpSurf.Net computer repair and Internet café, the other members of MBA include Boston Showcase Company, Curves, Hearing Essentials, The Jewelry Mine, The Nautical Dog, Regan Real Estate, Seaside Vacation Rentals, Stone & Stone Real Estate, Tre Ragazze Café, White Crane Bodyworks, The Yarn Seller and York Family Eye Care.
"We are here to help each other and the local people," Rogers said in his announcement of the creation of MBA. "… and I would bet most (residents) would be surprised to know what is really here."
Rather than driving all the way to New Hampshire, MBA is urging residents and visitors alike to stop by the plaza and pick up one of their holiday flyers with coupons for savings as you shop for the holiday season.
