MAINE'S BEST SECRET. Guitarist Jim Gallant has been called "Maine's best secret" because of his unique style that blends New Age, classical, Celtic and Kottke-esque fingerpicking. Gallant grew up in Mexico, Maine, and currently teaches guitar at the Fiddleheads Center for the Arts in New Gloucester. He has performed with legends like Taj Mahal, Doc Watson and the New Grass Revival. He was one of seven guitarists featured on Seacoast Guitar Society's Fingerstyle CD entitled Seacoast Guitarist Vol. 1, and his music was included on a Christmas album for L.L. Bean.
