Toys for Tots collection begins

YORK - The York Rotary Club, with the assistance of the American Legion and local Boy Scouts, will again be collecting Toys for Tots this holiday season.
Beginning Saturday, Nov. 25, collection boxes will be placed at various locations throughout the town.
The Rotary Club, American Legion and Boy Scouts are hoping residents will support the effort by donating new, unwrapped toys for children between the ages of birth and 16. Toys may be placed in the collection boxes throughout towns, and businesses and organizations willing to host a Toys for Tots box are urged to contact Steve LaPointe
Las year, he noted, the Rotary Club as able to place such collection boxes at 20 locations across town.
Businesses willing to have a collection box should contact LaPointe at 363-0376 or America1@maine.rr.com.
Families in need of assistance through this program are encouraged to sign up at St. Christopher's Church on Nov. 21.
