YHS girls' ice hockey faces Fryeburg, Biddeford
YORK - The York High School girls' ice hockey team hosted Fryeburg Academy on Saturday, Dec. 9.York kept it close for two periods, trailing 2-0 going into the third period.
Fryeburg added two quick goals to take charge of the game and then added two more to seal the victory before Nell Henderson-Brown lit the lamp in a 6-1 loss.
On Monday, York played Biddeford High School for the second time in as many weeks. York spotted their opponents three goals in the first four minutes of the game before Lauren Coupal countered late in the first period.
Neither team scored in the second period, and both teams scored twice in the third period.
Megan Yorke and Christina Keroack each scored a goal in the 5-3 loss, while Alex Banfield, Kelsey Cruz and Ashley Taylor each assisted for York.
The team's record is now 1-3.
