Ogunquit Performing Arts continues its 2006-2007 Classic Film Series with "Brief Encounter," the 1945 British film written by Noel Coward. In 1991, art writer Carl Little joined editor Arnold Skolnick in producing "Paintings of Maine" - a 128-page hard cover book illustrated with examples of fine art by some 50 or so artists, many deceased, some contemporary, all with ties to Maine, either full time or seasonally. "Prints are in many ways the most dramatic visual medium..." David Becker, author Among the newer acquisitions at the York Public Library is "Edvard Munch: The Modern Life of the Soul," which was published by New York City's Museum of Modern Art in conjunction with a stunning retrospective of the artist's oeuvre held there this past spring.
