Arlene Blaisdell
YORK HARBOR - Arlene E. (Andrews) Blaisdell, 82, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at the Harbor Home.She was born Aug. 29, 1924, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., daughter of Archie A. and Gladys B. (Harriman) Andrews. In her earlier years she worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and as a waitress at the Anchorage.
She was a loving and gentle mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family and friends.
She leaves three sons, William C. Blaisdell of York, Stephen A. Blaisdell of Springvale and James R. Blaisdell of Newmarket, N.H.; a daughter, Joanne Tobey of Grand Lake Stream; two brothers, Carlton E. Andrews and Allan A. Andrews both of York, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A calling hour and service for Mrs. Blaisdell was held on Monday, Jan. 8, in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com, with burial in First Parish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
