Friday, Dec. 15

6 p.m. A 2004 Dodge sedan owned by Gordon Lewis of 62 Cherry Lane, Ogunquit, parked by Minerva Roman, 40, of Box 1730, Ogunquit, received $1,500 in damage when it was struck by an unknown vehicle at the Meadowbrook Plaza on Route 1.

2:18 p.m. A 1991 Mazda sedan operated by Raschelle M. McAuliffe, 18, of Box 772, York Beach, owned by Maureen McAuliffe, ran off Ferry Lane and struck a series of fences. Damage to the Mazda was estimated at $1,000

Saturday, Dec. 16

12:49 a.m. Francis E. Veino, 38, of 148 Morningside Street, Leominster, Mass., was charged with illegal possession of a usable amount of marijuana on Beach Street. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 8.

3:28 a.m. A 16-year-old York male was charged with refusing to submit to arrest and detention on York Street. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Jan. 29.

8:35 a.m. Three parked campers on Shore Road, owned by residents of Ogunquit, York and the Virgin Islands, were reported broken into. Items taken included a 20-inch flat screen television valued at $300. Windows valued at $100 each were broken in each camper to gain entry.

4:08 p.m. Bryan C. Arboch, 29, of 200 Nubble Road, was charged with operating beyond license restrictions/conditions on York Street. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 8.

10:27 p.m. Douglas Sinclair, 31, of 5 East Concord St., Portsmouth, N.H,, was charged with operating without being licensed on Nubble Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 8.

Sunday, Dec. 17

7:01 a.m. A break-in was reported at Garcia's Barber Shop on York Street. Reported missing was $3,000 in cash and a cash register containing $100. A glass door valued at $400 was broken to gain entry.

1:29 p.m. A break-in was reported at Shelton's on Railroad Avenue in York Beach, but nothing was missing. Entry was gained by prying open a back door. There was no estimate of damage.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

8:25 a.m. An outside doorframe was damaged at 75 York Street as the door was forced open and entry gained into the building. Nothing was reported taken. The doorframe was valued at $100.

11:17 a.m. A Route 1 man reported windows broken in his barn. The windows were valued at $50.

Wednesday, Dec. 20

1:26 p.m. A 1998 Ford pick-up owned by Rosemary Prentice of 503 Alewive Drive, Kennebunk, operated by Cathy White of the same address, and a 2001 Honda van operated by Galen Green of 1205 New Country Road, Dayton, owned by Business Frontline of Box 1471, Dayton, were in collision in the parking lot at Mr. Mike's on Route 1. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the Honda, $200 to the pick-up.

Thursday, Dec. 21

3:15 a.m. A 1994 Ford pick-up operated by John Ryan Downs, 19, 11307 SE 23 Rod St., Vancouver, Washington, owned by Bernard C. Ramsdell, 77 Beech Ridge Road, York, went out of control on Long Beach Avenue and struck a house. Damage was estimated at $1,500 to the pick-up. Downs was subsequently charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 8.

7:55 a.m. A 17-year-old York male was charged with sale/use of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of a usable amount of marijuana on Harbor Beach Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 22.

9:02 a.m. A 17-year-old York male was charged with sale/use of drug paraphernalia at York High School on Robert Stevens Drive. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 22.

10:02 a.m. An employee of York House of Pizza reported the theft of $100 from the York Street location. A rear door was left unlocked.

2:41 p.m. An 18-year-old York woman reported the theft of a black leather purse containing $300 in cash and unspecified prescription drugs from York Street.

3:08 p.m. A 16-year-old York male was charged with illegal transportation of drugs by a minor on York Street. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 22.

5:30 p.m. A 1996 Mercury sedan, operated by Kathleen Bishop, 62, of Box 1330, York Beach, owned by Ruby Bishop of the same address, and a 1998 Volvo station wagon, owned by Nancy McDevitt of 3 Keith Road, York, operated by a 17-year-old York girl, were in collision on Cider Hill Road. Damaged was estimated at $1,000 to the Mercury, $150 to the Volvo.

Friday, Dec. 22

10:08 a.m. A Kittery woman reported a theft of a bag of gifts from her vehicle while parked on Hospital Drive. Value of the gifts was estimated at $100.

2:25 p.m. A 1998 Chrysler sedan operated by Irene R. Cousineau, 64, of 77 Kennebec Drive, Lebanon, and a 1992 Honda two-door, operated by a 16-year-old York Beach girl and owned by Mark W. Gay of Box 543 York Beach, were in collision on Route 1. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the Chrysler and $2,000 to the Honda.

Saturday, Dec. 23

1:28 p.m. A 2004 Nissan pickup truck operated by Michael Lee, 50, of 16 Dock Road, York, received $2,500 in damage when backed into the building at the Dead River Station on Route 1.

Sunday, Dec. 24

12:05 a.m. Mark Gaier, 49, of 3 North Wood Lane, was charged with criminal operating under the influence on Clay Hill Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 8.

Monday, Dec. 25

8:27 p.m. A Hookset, N.H., woman reported the theft of $176 in various denominations from her room at Stage Neck Inn.

Tuesday, Dec. 26

12:37 p.m. A contractor reported the theft of $400 worth of underground service cable from a construction site on Henri Way sometime in the last month. About 180 feet of cable was pulled out of the ground.

4:18 p.m. A 16-year-old Cape Neddick male was charged with criminal mischief and illegal possession of liquor by a minor on Old County Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 22.

7:09 p.m. A Saltwater Drive woman reported $2,354.78 in false charges on her debit card. Police are investigating.

Wednesday, Dec. 27

5:30 a.m. Richard Kennedy, 35, of 28 Temple St., Haverhill, Mass., was charged with operating without being licensed, illegal attachment of registration plates and acquiring drugs by deception on Chase's Pond Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 8.

Thursday, Dec. 28

11:32 a.m. A 2005 Ford pickup truck operated by William G. Whitney of 374 Beacon St., Lowell, Mass., and a 2005 Acura sedan operated by Kimberly P. MacNeil of 79 Richards Ave., Portsmouth, N.H., were in collision on the Spur Road. Damage was estimated at $2,500 to each vehicle.

4:33 p.m. Travis Chichester, 19, of 16C Caincrest Road, York, was charged with criminal mischief, obstructing the report of a crime or injury and criminal threatening on Caincrest Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Jan. 17.

5:40 p.m. Dean Horn, 23, of 37A Ridge Road, was charged with operating while a license is suspended or revoked on Railroad Avenue in York Beach. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 8.

Friday, Dec. 29

Noon. A Bog Road woman reported the theft of an iPod, 10 to 20 CDs, a registration card and a Saab owner's manual from her Saab. There was no estimate of the value of the items taken.

12:45 p.m. Thomas L. Williamson, 34, of 261 Route 236, Berwick, was charged with failure to properly dispose of dog feces on Long Beach. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Feb. 8.

Saturday, Dec. 30

1:11 p.m. A 2005 Subaru sedan operated by Pamela Ells, 44, of 11 Beechwood Ave., York, received an estimated $2,500 in damage when it skidded on the slippery road surface on Cider Hill Road and landed in the ditch.

2:17 p.m. A 2005 Buck sedan owned by Berwick Storage and Supply of 474 Portland St., Berwick, operated by Jacqueline Garagolo, 54, of 46 Birch Hill Road, York, received an estimated $1,800 in damage when it skidded and went off Cider Hill Road.

Sunday, Dec. 31

7:52 a.m. York Beach Seafood reported the theft of $700 sometime during the night.

11:35 a.m. Eric E. Perkins, 27, of 280 Mountain Road, Cape Neddick, was charged with assault, aggravated assault and violation of conditions of release. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court Jan. 22.

12:04 p.m. A 2000 Honda sedan operated by Sunita Ray, 33, of 5 Ellison Lane, Durham, N.H., went through an open parking space and down an embankment at the York Hospital parking lot and was in collision with a parked 1995 Volkswagen sedan owned by Michelle C. Cotty, of 381-2 Littlefield Road, Wells, and with a parked 1995 Ford owned by Nichole M. Poisson of 16 Park St., Eliot. The impact caused the 1995 Ford to move forcefully and strike a parked 2004 Jeep sport utility vehicle owned by Sean Miller of 2828 Old Hickory Boulevard, Nashville, Tenn. Damage was estimated at $2,500 to the Honda, $400 to the Volkswagen, $3,500 to the Ford and $800 to the Jeep.

12:56 p.m. A 2005 Ford sedan operated by Richard Cote, 70, of 3 Gillis St., Nashua, N.H., received an estimated $2,500 in damages when it left Ridge Road and struck a nearby CMP pole.

5:31 p.m. Jamie Cahill, 24, of 35B York St., was charged on York Street with unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, refusing to submit to arrest or detention and endangering the welfare of an eight-month-old child. Cahill is scheduled to appear in York District Court Jan. 22.

Monday, Jan. 1

1:10 a.m. Josiah S. Hundley, 18, of 22 Old Post Road, was charged with sale/use of drug paraphernalia and furnishing a place for minors to consume at a Brickyard Court business. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court on Feb. 8. At the same time, one 17-year-old York boy was charged with sale/use of drug paraphernalia and another 17-year-old York boy was charged with illegal possession of liquor. Both juveniles are scheduled to appear in York District Court on Feb. 22.

8:19 a.m. A 1998 Nissan sedan operated by Heidi M. Hughes, 22, of 41 Academy St., South Berwick, owned by Roger Michaud of 23 Old Homestead Lane, Berwick, received an estimated $1,200 in damage when it crossed the double yellow line while traveling west on Route 91 and struck the guardrail of the eastbound lane on the driver's side.

10:19 a.m. A Route 91 resident reported an estimated $500 damage to his lawn and possible damage to a cement staircase when an unknown vehicle caught the edge of the road and slid into the side edge of his lawn sometime between 5 and 10 a.m.

11:30 a.m. A 2001 Mercedes sedan operated by Nathaniel M. Graham, 20, of 219 Scituate Road, owned by Matthew S. Graham of 41A New Town Road, received an estimated $7,000 in damage when it appeared to have caught the edge of Logging Road and slid into a guardrail. There was no damage to the guardrail.

Tuesday, Jan. 2

12:42 a.m. Joseph M. Papa, 18, of 35A York St., was summonsed for possession of a suspended license on Old Mast Road/Route 91. Later, at 2:19 a.m., Papa was charged with violation of condition of release, sale/use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a useable amount of marijuana on Bog Road. He is scheduled to appear at York District Court on Feb. 8.

1:09 a.m. James Nelson, 39, 720 Main St., Bolton, Mass., was charged with criminal operating under the influence on Route 1.

7:20 a.m. A 1998 Nissan owned by Debra Boorman of 17 Payneton Hill Road, operated by a 16-year-old York girl, received an estimated $1,500 in damages when it left Payneton Hill Road and struck a ledge outcrop.

7:55 a.m. A 2002 Pontiac sedan operated by Vincente Gonzalez, 47, of 95 Scotland Bridge Road, owned by Veronica Posada, 4401 Myrtle Grove Drive, Indianapolis, Ind., received an estimated $10,000 in damage when it left Southside Road and sideswiped a telephone pole.

4:25 p.m. A 16-year-old York boy was charged with violation of probation on Scott Avenue.

Wednesday, Jan. 3

12:40 a.m. Steven J. Cogliano, 27, 5 Libby Lane, Cape Neddick, was charged with possessing a usable amount of marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court on Feb. 8.

7:30 p.m. A 1996 Ford sport utility vehicle operated by Beth Hancock, 51, of 74 River Road, Cape Neddick, and a 2001 Nissan sport utility vehicle operated by Kimberly Greer, 43, of 9 Old Sewall Farm, were in collision at the stoplight of the Spur Road and Route 1 intersection. Damage was estimated at $100 to the Ford, $300 to the Nissan.

Thursday, Jan. 4

2:45 a.m. A Cycad Avenue resident reported an estimated $300 of damage each to a Ford van and another van caused when both vehicles were keyed.

7:22 a.m. Douglas Briley, 47, of 255 Scituate Road, and a 17-year-old York male were charged with sale/use of drug paraphernalia on Route 91. Briley is scheduled to appear in York District Court on Feb. 8. The 17-year-old is scheduled to appear in York District Court on March 5.

10:20 a.m. A 2005 Toyota sedan operated by Doris L. Berkenfeld, 76, of 117 Long Sands Road, collided with the York Family Practice building when the car's accelerator was struck instead of the brake while the car was in a parking space in York Family Practice's back parking lot. No one was injured. Damage was estimated at $5,000 to the Toyota. There was severe damage to the building.

12:20 p.m. A 2001 Dodge pickup truck operated a 17-year-old York boy and owned by Gary E. Stevens of 37 Ferncroft Road received an estimated $5,000 in damages when it left Southside Road and struck several trees.

8:41 p.m. Charles Naimie, 19, of 23 Logging Road, was charged with illegal transportation of liquor by a minor on Logging Road. He is scheduled to appear in York District Court on March 8.

Saturday, Jan. 6

9:45 a.m. Taylor K. Young, 20, of 181 Long Sands Road, was charged with criminal operating under the influence following an accident on Southside Road where the 1994 Mazda sedan he was operating left the road, striking and completely breaking off a mailbox and then a CMP pole. He was brought to the hospital for minor injuries and is scheduled to appear in York District Court March 8.

11:50 p.m. Kerry M. Briggs, 20, of 3 Henri Way, was charged with assault and is scheduled to appear in York District Court on March 8.

Sunday, Jan. 7

5:05 a.m. A 1996 Honda sedan operated by Madagan B. Keyes, 19, of 120 Raynes Neck Road, and owned by Penelope Brewster of the same address, received an estimated $3,000 in damage when it left Southside Road and struck a tree.
