Macy

Macy
Are you hound savvy? My name is Macy and I am a three-year-old spayed female Walker coon hound mix. I am looking for a cat-free home. I have an extremely high prey drive - can't help it; it is bred into me. Small animals like hamsters and gerbils may be a bad match for me, too. I get along with some dogs, so if you already have a dog at your house bring him or her to the shelter and the staff can introduce us. I am a bit dominant and will need to be fed separately from any other dog that you may have. Kids are great! Because of the chaotic nature of shelter life I will need a refresher on housetraining. Dogs my age usually will fit into whatever schedule you set up for me. If you have questions, please ask the staff; they know everything! I would benefit from obedience classes. They offer those at the shelter. No one ever took the time to teach me basic leash manners or how and when I need to control my enthusiasm. I have started attending shelter dog obedience class on Thursday nights - a great start for me. If you are looking for a great hound, please stop by my kennel.

You just caught me waking up from a quick nap. Did you know that we can spend 16 hours a day sleeping? Talk about having a catnap! Hello, I'm Lucy. I am a friendly six-year-old who is trying to find my soulmate. Could it be you? I would describe myself as beautiful with the most striking gold color eyes. I also like other cats. Currently, I have 11 roommates staying in the community room living here with me. I like to be petted and am a really good girl. What more could you ask for in a soulmate? If you think I'm the one for you, then please stop in for a visit.
Vie

Vie
Hi, how do you do? My name is Elvira but please call me Vie. Guess what? My birthday is this month. Go ahead. Try to guess my age. You won't hurt my feelings. Okay, I will tell you how old I will be. I'm going to be three years old!! I think I look pretty snazzy for a girl who is going to be three. Aren't I just the cutest cavy you have ever seen? Did you know that is another name for a guinea pig? I came to the shelter after my family no longer had enough time to take care of me. My favorite food is any sort of pellets, but I really love oxbow hay. I love to run in open spaces once I get familiar with the area. It has been really rough for me lately. My sister passed away in the spring and now I'm here at the shelter looking for my forever home. I enjoy hanging out with my family and being held. I wonder if my birthday wish will come true. Do you know what it is? I probably shouldn't tell you, but I am wishing for my forever home. Will you make my birthday wish come true by adopting me and making me your little girl?
